Assessments

We offer diagnostic assessments to answer any particular referral questions and to address your goals and needs. Depending on the complexity of the query, 3 to 5 sessions face-to-face may be required. This includes an interview session, 1 to 3 sessions of standardised testing, and a feedback session in which the psychologist will explain the results and allow you to ask any questions that may arise. You will receive a comprehensive written report with information about the assessment, its results, and targeted recommendations to provide support for the future.

We are currently able to investigate the following types of queries for adults or children (6+):

  • Autism (sometimes known as ‘autism spectrum disorder’ or ‘ASD’)

  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

  • Learning difficulties, including specific learning disorders (SLD) such as dyslexia or dyscalculia

  • Cognitive functioning (commonly known as intelligence testing or IQ testing), including intellectual disability or high intellectual potential

  • Adaptive functioning (e.g., daily living skills, communication and socialisation)

  • Social or emotional functioning

Please note: We do not provide forensic or capacity assessments, court reports, assessments of acquired/traumatic brain injuries, or assessments to support applications for the Disability Support Pension.
